My nails have never been able to grow to any decent length ever and I always came to the conclusion that I had reached my terminal length (such with my hair). Genetics plays a huge role in nail growth and strength and neither my mom nor dad have particularly healthy or long nails. I envied those who could cut and had to “trim” their nails as I never did! The most grooming done was a slight file here and there to touch up any jagged ends fresh from peeling. I never subjected my already thin weak nails to acrylics or gels besides the occasional special event and just accepted the fact that I would never have my own. Until along came Essie’s product!! I discovered this Essie “Grow Faster” just shortly before graduating from college in May 2012. I decided the last-minute to forgo fake nails for the event and just get a simple mani. The problem was that I had nearly nothing to work with, especially for the french manicure that I was desiring. I purchased Essie’s Grow Faster and saw small results within 2 days before the event. Nothing significant at first but enough to be able to get them painted. After the event I continued to use it and began to see drastic results and growth! Giving it the appropriate time, this product really does work!

Step 1:
I clean my nails and push back my cuticle with a orangewood stick using Essie’s smooth trick, or apricot cuticle oil to nourish and moisturize my hands.

Step 2:
I apply 1 coat of Essie’s “Grow Faster” to each nail and let it dry.

Step 3: After 2-3 days I apply a second coat.

Step 4: After a total of about 5 to 6 days I remove all my polish and start the process over ( I do this for up to two or three weeks depending).

Throughout this entire process you can also paint your usual color over this as a base, or even apply the growth over a color once its been 3 days if you can’t stand to go with bare nails. I see results almost immediately every time! I can finally do designs and try all the new nail trends that involve some length.

* Disclaimer: This product makes your nails Grow FASTER…therefore not necessarily stronger. I have also tried Essie’s products for stronger nails without seeing too much results. Unfortunately the nail texture is still the same (can’t change genetics) but even when one does break off, I even them out and start the process again! It beats having no nails at all! I love love love this product and give it 10 stars, it did exactly what it claimed to do for me and my nails have never been longer.

Even during a break from using the product they still retain a little length (my natural nails never even grew to this length before)

I never have time for this anymore it seems, but I did get to try “micro beading” once they grew in a little more.

I pity the fool!

Today in age!- This may not seem long for some, but I assure you my nails never grew past the skin my entire life! I am ecstatic with their progress and those who know me can tell the difference immediately.
