Although it’s not exactly the most winter friendly ensemble, I wore this only a couple of weeks ago before the weather took a dip. The day was cool and brisk and I was feeling like showing a little skin for a day date. The crop top is from Nasty Gal and I must say it might become one of my all-time favorites. Featuring a v- neck as well as bottom it gives the ladies a nice rounded shape even without a bra! The thick sweater like material is not see through and I was able to rock it au natural (I found the bra gave the look way too much over powering cleavage and shortened the top to where you couldn’t see the V-shape on the bottom). I’ve featured this ribbed royal blue pencil skirt before (it comes in a set) and love the way it gives texture to any outfit. Lastly I threw on this beloved jacket of mine (old season American Apparel) with these new amazing sling back flats I found at Nordstrom Rack from the brand Halogen. I wear them to work, to play and everywhere I go people compliment and ask where they are from. This is the perfect combination of neutrals with small feminine details all the while looking sexy. This casual summer day calls for a simple outfit that keeps you cool, yet is stylish all the same. I recently bought this top from Marshalls from the French Connection brand and although it is a simple cotton t-shirt I love the fact that the stripes go in different directions on the sleeves and back. It is the small details that make for an interesting aesthetic. I paired this blue striped top with my neon green JLO brand high waist shorts, leopard print Sam & Libby loafers and vintage Ferragamo cross body bag. One may think all of these patterns and colors wouldn’t look good together, but mixing prints is all the rage! Pick one solid (neon shorts), choose your focal point (top) and my last rule of thumb is leopard is always a neutral (yes always in my book). Links to similar items below.
Clearance sale!!!!! Any clearance items at target have got to be my favorite. Not only do they mark down their prices by large percentages, they also have them in the system so even if your item has been marked down further than the sticker price, you wont miss out on a lower bargain when you check out! I always peruse the aisles for any new scores and sure enough I found the jackpot. Sam Edelman and his daughter collabed for a target collection of fun sandals and heels. Most of the sandals (including regular mossimo target brand) were all on clearance marked down as low as $7.00. I had to jump on the chance since I am basically in sandals year round. Here are the ones I went for. (Although I am contemplating going back and purchasing three more). Links at the bottom (I found them for much cheaper at the actual store). They are all neutral and can be paired to be dressed up or down.
