Sometimes low key basics can translate better than any other cool and curated outfit. On this regular day I didn’t really feel like fussing with coordinating a stylish over the top look, I just wanted to be comfortable, cute and most of all weather appropriate. My H&M boyfriend jeans are always my favorite go to for anytime I want to be comfortable yet still on trend. I paired them with an old blue and white pin stripe cotton button up that was light and breezy enough for the hot weather. These everyday low Target sandals completed the look. This casual ootd could also be replicated for the Fourth of July (considering the color scheme) or any other event not requiring so much effort. Accessories include my trustee Kate Spade purse (which I should have opted for my nude version instead but was in a rush) and my hair which was reaching for the heavens on this sticky humid day. First and foremost we would like to apologize for going so many days without posting (we have a good reason, promise!). Ari and our mom came all the way to London to visit me for a few days, it was a short trip but none the less packed with loads of fun! They spilt their time between London, Barcelona & Paris (insane I know).
In this post I want to share an outfit I put together for a day out in London as well as our amazing time at Kettners for Afternoon Tea.
I knew our day in London consisted of loads of walking so I wanted to be comfortable yet polished as we were going to be having Afternoon Tea. I chose this “nothing to wear” tee shirt from Asos which I think is utterly adorable, don’t we all have this problem ladies? Because I chose such a simple top I decided to pair it with my blue velvet skater skirt from Forever 21 which gave the outfit a nice twist to a mostly all black look. I then threw on some tights, my trusty studded boots and my new baby, the Cambridge satchel.
Afternoon Tea at Kettners was absolutely fabulous! I was highly impressed with the array of sandwiches and delicious pastries we were served. My drink of preference is normally coffee but the peppermint tea at Kettners tasted like no other!
It was such a great weekend! One we will never ever forget! I leave you all with a photo of Ari and I in front of Buckingham Palace.
This post is long overdue seeing as summer is almost over but I finally got the chance to photograph and style the look! Birkenstock sandals have been seen on everyone from fashion bloggers and celebrities alike. Why would anyone want to wear these “ugly” sandals you ask? Well for one they are incredibly comfortable! Unlike a lot of summer sandals I buy and toss after one summer of use here in sunny Florida, these babies will last you and are incredibly versatile. I personally don’t think they are ugly at all but was just intimidated by some of the pricing. Unless you score a great sale, they can run you upwards to $150. In comes this faux pair! I found these in Target and they are from the Sam & Libby collection (Sam Edelman and his daughter’s line). The Ashland Sandal features less cork than the original birks and stud details but still have the same aesthetic of the cross thick adjustable straps. While I save up for Birks perhaps in the near future these are an amazing alternative. For the price they cant be beat! I styled it with a silk blue button up, white Ann Taylor shorts and my Kate Spade chain link bag. Links below!
On my last post I shared my outfit from the grand opening of the Gap at Millenia Mall and getting to meet Melanie Pace. I was actually on the hunt for some boyfriend jeans but when I arrived I was distracted by the sale on all shorts! Naturally I gravitated towards the “boyfriend” section and fell in love with this light wash pair. They are super comfortable, 100% durable cotton and feature slight distressing/fringe and rolled up cuffs. I am still going back for the original long pair but these are a perfect addition to any summer wardrobe. I paired them with my studded Target sandals, a plain black button up from The Limited and my black crochet Old Navy purse that I’ve had for ages. For a different aesthetic throw on an actual white tee from your boyfriend (was going to be my second option). Check these bad boys out in all the different washes they have to offer. Links at the bottom as always!
Hey everyone, I have another outfit of the day! I am so glad my sister was able to snap a few shots of yet another one of my favorite looks. While in Florida I was able to wear shorts and leave the house without a million layers on, how exciting right? So lets jump right in! My previous look (Green with envy) was a more of a going out kind of outfit as oppose to this one which is super casual and trendy. I paired some older pieces with newer ones creating a laid back feel.
Top: Old Navy Button down light denim
Bottoms: Forever 21 Front camo spiked denim shorts (last summer)
Shoes: Forever 21 booties (again)
accessories: Bag Phillip Lim for Target, (borrowed from Ari) Watch Marc Jacobs, Bracelet Forever 21 and lion head necklace from street vendor.

Casual relaxed days are the best as the seasons are slowly but surely shifting. I love giving myself an edgier look on days when its a little overcast and I am able to wear different fabrics that would normally make me melt in the Florida sun otherwise. These drop crotch faux leather sweat pants were purchased on my birthday trip to New York at necessary clothing boutique in Soho. I haven’t had the chance to wear them seeing as they would literally stick to my skin in 95 degree weather. The slight difference between harem and drop crotch is that harem pants have overall volume on the sides as well as a lowered rise. Drop crotch pants are typically fitted throughout the hips and only feature an extended crotch (no overall bagginess on the sides). I paired them with a comic strip print crop top from rainbow, target studded Sam & Libby sandals and my clear chain link clutch from eBay. Links below!
This outfit was put together very last minute as what I had originally planned to wear to this event didn’t quite work out. I wanted to keep it a little more dressy and girly than your average casual outfit considering I was going to The Make Up show not only to shop but hopefully to network and meet one of my favorite youtube gurus @nicoleguerriero. Heels were a must and I opted for this low pair from target Ive previously featured so I could stand and walk for an extended period. My top is Michael Kors via Tjmaxx and the high waist black and gold shorts are from forever 21. Threw on my new Phillip Lim satchel (my baby) and I was off to the show!

Clearance sale!!!!! Any clearance items at target have got to be my favorite. Not only do they mark down their prices by large percentages, they also have them in the system so even if your item has been marked down further than the sticker price, you wont miss out on a lower bargain when you check out! I always peruse the aisles for any new scores and sure enough I found the jackpot. Sam Edelman and his daughter collabed for a target collection of fun sandals and heels. Most of the sandals (including regular mossimo target brand) were all on clearance marked down as low as $7.00. I had to jump on the chance since I am basically in sandals year round. Here are the ones I went for. (Although I am contemplating going back and purchasing three more). Links at the bottom (I found them for much cheaper at the actual store). They are all neutral and can be paired to be dressed up or down.

Hey everyone! So this week over in the gran manzana the weather has been awful! Raining and dreary, I guess you Floridians know a little something about that right sis? Anyways I thought what better way to cheer myself up than to do some shopping! On my way home from work I stopped by Forever 21 and snagged some great items. Florals, stripes, camo and paisley prints are all spring/summer trends and will really add a pop to your outfit. I found these in the plus size section which is great for us girls who are curvier. They have a wide range of sizes starting from size 12 to 24. So there is no excuse girls we can all be fabulous no matter what size or shape we are!
This outfit almost didnt make the blog cut considering I didnt get too many great shots actually dressed in it. I felt it was my duty to put others on to these shorts despite that fact. These mint (or celery as described on the site) Forever 21 shorts are perfection. With the scalloped hem and high rise they made for a wonderful day time casual look. I paired it with a white american apparel crop top and pink studded sneakers that I purchased at a boutique in new york (similar options found below). Once again incorporating pastels just in time for the spring 2013 season!
