This post is long overdue seeing as summer is almost over but I finally got the chance to photograph and style the look! Birkenstock sandals have been seen on everyone from fashion bloggers and celebrities alike. Why would anyone want to wear these “ugly” sandals you ask? Well for one they are incredibly comfortable! Unlike a lot of summer sandals I buy and toss after one summer of use here in sunny Florida, these babies will last you and are incredibly versatile. I personally don’t think they are ugly at all but was just intimidated by some of the pricing. Unless you score a great sale, they can run you upwards to $150. In comes this faux pair! I found these in Target and they are from the Sam & Libby collection (Sam Edelman and his daughter’s line). The Ashland Sandal features less cork than the original birks and stud details but still have the same aesthetic of the cross thick adjustable straps. While I save up for Birks perhaps in the near future these are an amazing alternative. For the price they cant be beat! I styled it with a silk blue button up, white Ann Taylor shorts and my Kate Spade chain link bag. Links below!
These target pumps finally got to see the light of day as I’ve had them in my closet for some time. I got them on clearance for the low low price of $8.98! I mean can we say bargain people? In trying to incorporate more pieces in my wardrobe that can work for both my day job as well as everyday life, these snake-skin pewter pumps can be paired with an array of looks for both since they are closed toe and have a relatively low heel. For a casual weekend I went with a black button up (old season forever 21), white ann taylor shorts,my Kate Spade nude quilted bag and my hair straight for a sleek vibe. These lovelies are from the Sam & Libby Collection and are still available online and perhaps for cheaper at a target near you! They also come in black and nude for a more classic take on the look. Here is my formal introduction to my new additions in my heel collection (more like my children). These amazing heels are the “Strut Cutout Bootie” from the much-anticipated Shoe Cult collection from NastyGal. I originally wanted these as soon as … Continue reading →
On this lovely saturday morning I plan to sleep in and indulge in all things “bad” for me. Since Im not going anywhere special I opted for my version of a “casual” look. I have been dying to wear these heels anywhere, even now to walmart! My basic v-neck white long sleeve shirt is from target while the denim vest was purchased at old navy. The olive cargos are ridiculously old (you can ask my sister)…I think Ive had them since the 8th grade! Im not sure if I should be admitting that on here but hey..what can you do? I found some similar versions below. Lastly my leopard and gold hardware heels are from forever 21. They are super comfortable despite their “edgy” look.
I went out alone for the first time last night! It was sort of liberating…yet scary at the same time. Who knew you could have fun rollin with a clique of 1? It was freezing last night and the 180 lounge was hosting a fashion show by the lovely studio by keliann. I got to meet Kaylani from viva_glam_kay (from instagram). She was super sweet and gracious even though I felt like the only creeper (alone wanting a picture). Overall the night was fun/socially awkward and my outfit was a hit!. I am wearing a coral zippered jacket from target (purchased on clearance so its not available on the site anymore), polka dot bustier from forever 21 and my new houndstooth high waist leggings that Im obsessed with! (forever 21). Normally I am against wearing leggings as pants but I had to make an exception for these considering I felt like I was slaying in them (high waist & tight =super confidence booster)
