Street Style Layers

When it comes to layering, let’s face it the colder it gets the less you care about the actual pieces you’re throwing on. On days like this style takes a back seat and your left with an outfit more so resembling the abominable snow man than an actual look. Thankfully it never gets that cold in central Florida! On this chilly day I wore this amazing jumpsuit/onesie purchased from ASOS from the brand Missguided. Equipped with grey striped detailing, long sleeves and a super functional turtle neck collar its perfect for these Florida versions of cold days. I paired it with my army fatigue anorak and my Nike Theas for a pop of color. This outfit is street style meets comfort and warmth all in one! Links and details down below. As most girls may agree, I have a love hate relationship with rompers. Sure they are easy to throw on and go but yet don’t work the same as far as taking them off sometimes even requiring an extra pair of hands. Despite the inconvenient longer bathroom breaks, rompers are a must for me living in Florida. For one they usually require minimal ironing (big plus in my book) and they take the guess work out of curating an entire outfit. You instantly look put together and are left free to have fun with the rest of your look. For this casual day out I decided on this newly purchased draw string waist jersey romper. I purchased it from ASOS but it is actually from the brand misguided. The V-neck and light weight material make for the perfect fit while the light grey color serves as a neutral base for any wild accessory your heart may desire. I paired it with my old favorite kimchi blue fanny pack (purchased from urban outfitters) and my lace up booties from aldo shoes. Links to items below!

Florida Winter

Even though I was born and raised in New York, if the temperature drops below 65 degrees here in Florida I’m not happy about it. Sure, the cute boots, jackets and sweaters come out to play but so does the ashy skin, terrible colds and not so fun morning routines. I digress. This outfit was from a couple of weeks ago when it was a freezing 39 degrees! My sister in New York would kill me for even uttering those words since she has to deal with below zero temps. I decided my newly purchased missguided booties could come out to play along with one of the only pair of jeans I own. The boots are currently sold out but many different brands have almost the exact same style (they are very trendy this season) and Ill link them below as usual. The quilted down jacket is via spiga, button up shirt dress is forever 21 and the jeans are from free people purchased at you guessed it, marshalls. Heres to hoping for some relief from the “winter” woes soon. Enjoy!

Viva Barcelona OOTD- Giveaway

So as some of you may have been keeping up with, I Ari finally got some stamps on my passport! I visited my sister Gwen in London and we did some major country hopping in the short time we were reunited. I had the best time ever and now have the travel bug, bad! Our first day in Barcelona was filled with good food, amazing views and lovely weather. We did some site seeing and even ended up at the beach! It was about 45 degrees or so and winter gear was required (especially for my thin Florida blood). This look consisted of this thick quilted pink sweater dress from Zara’s end of season sale, black aldo oxfords, fleece lined leggings, pearl & gold collar necklace, bowler hat and lastly this show stopping leopard jacket! This misguided coat is so beautiful in person and surprisingly light weight. I ordered it a size UK 8 (US 4) but looking back probably would have gone for a 6 (US 2). It is supposed to be oversized and boxy (that is the look) so it still worked well. We are hosting a giveaway of this same exact coat in a size UK 8 from misguided on instagram! “Hello Lover” Fur Missguided Heels

As best expressed by Carrie on Sex and the City their is nothing like a sexy taupe/nude sandal to elongate the leg and make anyone feel sexy. Add some delicate fur detailing and you’ve got the perfect heel to add detail and texture to any outfit. This look was put together short notice for a night out with friends. Since the temperatures were still on the chilly side I opted for a 3 quarter sleeve turtle neck tunic, sticking with the black theme I threw on some trustee short shorts to make the look more night club appropriate. It needed the extra “Ari” flare as I can’t ever go out without having some sort of statement item and I remembered I had these amazing Missguided faux fur heels that would go perfect and be just the pop I needed. I absolutely love the items on Missguided’s website but buyers be warned they do take forever to ship your item and have been known to have issues with shipping in general to the U.S. (from other reviews online). I will continue to purchase from this website in the future but keeping that in mind and not counting on items to be received quickly. Links to similar heels below!
