As most girls may agree, I have a love hate relationship with rompers. Sure they are easy to throw on and go but yet don’t work the same as far as taking them off sometimes even requiring an extra pair of hands. Despite the inconvenient longer bathroom breaks, rompers are a must for me living in Florida. For one they usually require minimal ironing (big plus in my book) and they take the guess work out of curating an entire outfit. You instantly look put together and are left free to have fun with the rest of your look. For this casual day out I decided on this newly purchased draw string waist jersey romper. I purchased it from ASOS but it is actually from the brand misguided. The V-neck and light weight material make for the perfect fit while the light grey color serves as a neutral base for any wild accessory your heart may desire. I paired it with my old favorite kimchi blue fanny pack (purchased from urban outfitters) and my lace up booties from aldo shoes. Links to items below!

70’s Camel Suede

Seventies’s fashion is so on trend for this fall season and although I don’t necessarily want to abandon my beloved 90’s, I figured I would incorporate some modernized pieces into my wardrobe. The 70’s was all about glam disco meets flared jeans, fringe, suede and Farah Fawcett hair. I bought this amazing faux suede dress at none other then Marshalls! Ive been obsessed with going in there and scouring the racks for such amazing #fabfinds as this one. It is the perfect complimentary camel for my skin tone and fits the body so well. The darting in the waist really help create a shape (where I don’t normally have one) and the mini length allows my legs to be the main focus. I paired it with my lace up Aldo booties and the outfit is complete! You can throw on a wide brim hat or a chunky necklace for some added flare but I loved the simplicity of this look. The brand of the dress is “paper crane” and it was a steal as always at marshalls. This is the perfect dress for the transition to “Fall weather” even though that dosen’t really exist here in Florida until about January or so. Links down below to similar items!

Black and White

It was my 26th birthday on August 21 and I wanted to go for a low key weekend getaway before the madness of graduate school ensued (cue the gray hairs). Tampa is not too far of a drive and it was perfect to just get out of my normal mundane world for a moment. I stayed at Le Meridian which used to be an old court house and is now transformed into a modern and chic hotel. It has beautiful scenery and Tampa’s downtown backdrop was perfect for photos. The ootd below was what I wore to the Tampa Museum of Art. With a new Andy Warhol exhibit it was definitely a must see. I opted for easy and lightweight seeing as it was scorching hot outside. This white long line button up top was a steal at Marshalls and I loved the “boyfriend fit”. I paired it with my big sun blocking hat from H&M and black lace up booties from Aldo which I later switched to sandals after walking around the museum for a while. The biker shorts are from forever 21 and provided just enough coverage seeing as I originally thought this top was a dress. I kept it clean with the black and white, no color and loved it! If you are ever in the Tampa area I would highly suggest Le Meridien Hotel and the Tampa Art Museum. Until next outfit…..similar links down below!

Red, White and Cool

Happy Fourth of July!!! In spite of a lot of negative statements and sentiments being felt by some during these dubious political times, I am still happy to say I am proud to be an American and celebrate this day. The struggle to identify with one “culture” when you are first generation is hard but I think both me and my sister could say we got the best of both worlds and are better people for it. This great nation still has a long way to go with relation to race, immigration issues (just to name a few) but nonetheless its the place we call home. Its also great timing that Gwen has come back now from her 6 month stay in London to celebrate with all her close friends. Below is my OOTD for your standard BBQ or casual outing for this holiday. Plaid is so versatile and it doesn’t hurt that It incorporates the flags colors. I paired this #fabfound Marshalls dress with my Aldo lace up booties and some gold accessories. This piece could also be used to layer and could have been worn with shorts and a crop top as well. Heres to another great year and awesome fireworks! Primark Treasures

While in London I wanted to take advantage of the fact that we were in the city and were able to find time to shop around in Primark! For those that don’t know, Primark is sort of like a fast fashion trendy store similar I would say to Forever 21 but with elements inspired by higher end brands. The prices are comparable as well and I had a blast picking out some staple items for the summer. This black basic dress is a dream! It has ribbed detailing and its body con style sucks me in and makes me feel sexy without showing much (except legs of course). The olive anorak jacket is another must have. Its light weight and unlike my beloved utility vest I’ve featured before, this one has clean lines and can be worn in a more dressed up manner. With a draw string waist it adds absolutely no bulk, I just threw it on and I was out the door. I wore this outfit for an Orlando Blogger meet up event (shout out to Dash Orlando) and paired it with my Aldo lace up booties and gold cat eye sunnies (also purchased in London) for a more relaxed vibe. LA TOUR EIFFEL- PARIS OOTD

Sadly this is my last outfit of the day from my trip 3 weeks ago. This reminiscent journey is coming to an end but I am sure I will have many more travel fun to come this year. On this day my mom and I whisked away for a day trip to Paris without my sister Gwen. On only a couple of hours time we managed to eat lunch inside the Eiffel Tower and tour the well known Louvre Museum as well as take many pictures amongst other things. It was a bit chilly so I opted for comfort and an androgynous aesthetic to keep me warm. My feminine detail came in the form of this amazing Kate Spade Eiffel Tower purse. I purchased this at the Kate Spade outlet in Orlando and although its not roomy I couldn’t help but wear it out for my special day date in the city of Love. Experiencing this trip to three different countries with the two girls I love most (my mom and sister) is going to be one of my most treasured memories. Links to items below!

Parc de Montjuic -Barcelona OOTD

Barcelona was magical! This city was such a nice contrast to the gloomy city vibes of London. Although still a bit chilly, the sun was out and the vibes were friendly. We took a tour bus and made some stops along the way to explore the beautiful landscape. On this day we visited this park “Parc de Montjuic” and were able to capture some outfit of the day shots after we panicked on the cable cars up the mountain. I was wearing this knit zara black dress with gold accents and detailing. I stayed with my misguided leopard coat, aldo oxfords and tights from the day before and added some funky Pom-Pom socks from ASOS to keep my feet warm and spice up the look. Last but not least this jaw dropping huge pearl choker necklace from ASOS was the standout item. I love the way it makes a statement and can be paired with any simple silhouette. Viva Barcelona OOTD- Giveaway

So as some of you may have been keeping up with, I Ari finally got some stamps on my passport! I visited my sister Gwen in London and we did some major country hopping in the short time we were reunited. I had the best time ever and now have the travel bug, bad! Our first day in Barcelona was filled with good food, amazing views and lovely weather. We did some site seeing and even ended up at the beach! It was about 45 degrees or so and winter gear was required (especially for my thin Florida blood). This look consisted of this thick quilted pink sweater dress from Zara’s end of season sale, black aldo oxfords, fleece lined leggings, pearl & gold collar necklace, bowler hat and lastly this show stopping leopard jacket! This misguided coat is so beautiful in person and surprisingly light weight. I ordered it a size UK 8 (US 4) but looking back probably would have gone for a 6 (US 2). It is supposed to be oversized and boxy (that is the look) so it still worked well. We are hosting a giveaway of this same exact coat in a size UK 8 from misguided on instagram! Weekend Warrior Outfit Inspiration

The weekend is almost here! Even though this was technically a shorter work week because of the holiday (Yay for Martin Luther King) I still feel like it has dragged on. Below is a casual outfit inspired by the weekend and wanting to be relaxed and chill yet still stylish. I paired my trustee willow & clay utility vest that I throw on with absolutely everything (need this thing in 20 colors) with a cozy long sleeved striped crew neck t shirt from old navy. My love affair with these boyfriend jeans from H&M also continues and compliments the “star” of this outfit which in my opinion is this pair of Aldo lace up booties. I scored these babies on clearance for $25 and although they only had a size 6.5 and I am typically a 6, I bought them anyway because of how pretty and genuinely comfortable they are. The thick chunky heel allows for me to strut my stuff all over town if I wanted or just simply run a few errands and look badass while doing so. Links to items can be found below!

Sparkle & Nude

Feeling sexy is subjective and it cannot be made more clear by the plethora of different looks and styles that are “trending”. Both me and my sister have very different views on what looks or makes us feel sexy and I have to say a good nude shoe has got to be top five for me. This outfit is based off this old season pair of sandals/heels from forever 21. I love the way they elongate my leg (as a proper tone nude shoe is supposed to) and the sparkle detail gives it a pop that I love! This is such a special shoe in that it can be paired so many different ways and everytime I wear them I feel chic and pretty while at the same time being a little enticing. This time I played off the neutrals vibe and wore a sheer creme top with rolled up sleeves, for a nice element of surprise I chose neon yellow/green shorts from the Jennifer Lopez collection at Kohls. The body chain added another sexy touch as it defined my waist a little bit from the oversized shirt.
