“Hello Lover” Fur Missguided Heels

As best expressed by Carrie on Sex and the City their is nothing like a sexy taupe/nude sandal to elongate the leg and make anyone feel sexy. Add some delicate fur detailing and you’ve got the perfect heel to add detail and texture to any outfit. This look was put together short notice for a night out with friends. Since the temperatures were still on the chilly side I opted for a 3 quarter sleeve turtle neck tunic, sticking with the black theme I threw on some trustee short shorts to make the look more night club appropriate. It needed the extra “Ari” flare as I can’t ever go out without having some sort of statement item and I remembered I had these amazing Missguided faux fur heels that would go perfect and be just the pop I needed. I absolutely love the items on Missguided’s website but buyers be warned they do take forever to ship your item and have been known to have issues with shipping in general to the U.S. (from other reviews online). I will continue to purchase from this website in the future but keeping that in mind and not counting on items to be received quickly. Links to similar heels below!

MAC Haul (Collective)

Over the last two months or so I’ve found myself gravitating towards MAC products. Although I have always been a fan of their lipsticks I had not tried too many of their other makeup products, until now that is. Reading reviews online and browsing at the actual store has opened my eyes up to a few new products that I would like to share with you all. Check out what they are down below…

Couldn’t leave the store without picking up a few new shades of Lipsticks…

Right: Pro-longwear paint pot in Layin’ Low

These Products above were new purchases (except for the prep and prime highlighter which was a repurchase). Here’s a more detailed breakdown:
Sweet as cocoa is a Mauve/ light Plum colored blush with slight shimmer. Once applied onto the cheeks the shimmer is not visible.
Pro-Longwear concealer in the shade NC30 has a thick and creamy consistency and is the perfect shade to conceal my under eye area
Prep and prime lip base is great for applying underneath Matte lipsticks which could be drying at times (especially MAC’s retro matte formulas)
Prep and Prime highlighter is great for highlighting (under the eyes, bridge of your nose, cupids bow and chin) the shade I picked up is called Bright Forecast and it has a yellow undertone.
Pro-longwear waterproof brow set has got to be my most favorite product out of the bunch. Your brows will not be going anywhere after setting them with this long lasting and highly pigmented product.
Pro-longwear paint pot in Layin’ low is an eyeshadow base which will help your shadows adhere much better to your eyelid. I love to sometimes just wear the base alone because this shade matches my skintone perfectly and it helps my eyelids not look as greasy.

These items can all be found at your local MAC store, department store counter or online!

Till my next shopping spree,

The Makeup Show Goodies- Z Palette

I had the pleasure of attending “The Makeup Show” here in Orlando Fl on Sept 28. For it being my first time at a makeup expo, I was not disappointed at all! I loved the setup and all the booths were filled with amazing products all at discounted prices. I also got to meet one of my favorite beauty youtube gurus @nicoleguerriero (go check her out she is amazing!) I had an awesome experience and definitely look forward to attending more events like this in the future.

My first purchase was the Z- Palette in size large and leopard print. For those who don’t know the z-palette is a customized makeup palette that allows you to use your own products and have them all in one convenient location. Great for traveling, this little palette is available in different prints/solid colors, I was sold once I heard the discounted price. The process goes as follows

1. Pick out the makeup in your collection that you would like to combine (perhaps your “everyday look”). Make sure they are in pots (sometimes hard to tell if they are glued well, look for the metal rim).

2. Depot by prying or using the oven or flat-iron method (I used solely prying them out with a thin kitchen knife)

3. Clean off the glue from the back of the pot, stick on palette if it is metal or if not use the provided stickers to adhere the items to the palette. You can also use a sharpie to label your product on the back.

4. Enjoy your customized palette!

This one didn't actually need a sticker, but for the purposes of this I used one. Adhere it to the back of the pot.

Here Is my work in progress!

Here Is my work in progress!

I used an old maybelline neutral quad, and my favorite blush from a Sonia Kashuk palette. I can totally see this being a favorite of mine when I spend long weekends locally or travel anywhere else. Such a cool concept that I’m glad I was sold on. I can use all the help I can get to organize my cluttered life.
