Fourth of July has come and gone and with it came a night of celebrating and enjoying a night out on the town. Forever 21 has always been a staple go-to place for on trend affordable outfits for the masses. Once again they did not fail me for this weekend holiday as I did manage to snag this awesome tiger print bodysuit a couple of weeks ago. (still available on the site!) This lightweight bodysuit features a scoop neckline, back and snap button closure. It is incredibly soft! Throw it on with some jeans and a leather jacket for an edgy look, or keep it light and fun as I did for those summer night outs. I paired it with one of my favorite thrifted high waist shorts, red Mary-Jane style pumps from target and a clutch that actually came with Sonia Kashuk brushes (also from target-old season). Ladies please do not forget your Band-Aids/blister guards if you haven’t worn your shoes too many times! I learned this the hard way as I am now recovering from wearing them the entire night. All in all I had a great time watching the night sky light up and I loved the comfort of the outfit.
Cons
-If your not a fan of panty lines, this bodysuit is not a thong and may show up depending on the material you are wearing over it (my jeans weren’t too bad)
-The accessibility of using the restroom often while having a “night out” was compromised by having a bodysuit on. The snap button closure did help some.
For only $12.80 I don’t think a simple summer night outfit could get any better. Hope everyone enjoyed the holiday!

July 4th is upon us! A time where we get to gorge on food cooked on a grill, drink heavily and light up the night sky with fire works all in the name of America. This holiday is always fun and festive partly due to the explosives involved and partly because of the awesome patriotic gear one can rock. Cut off denim, boots, or pretty much anything with an American flag count towards this day. I’ve chosen to rock some particularly fun options in the past (patriotic lip tattoos) and this year I want to go more subdued and just do something fun on my nails. Here are some of the following options/inspiration.
You can go with the classic All American flag look
The firework aspect might be of interest using nail stripers and glitter
I personally would like to try this just because its out of the ordinary…
Last but not least you can choose to represent any one of the amazing groups that make up the military, after all they fight every day to allow us to keep our freedoms that we enjoy!
** I do not own any of these pics, these are simply articles found online thought to inspire some creativity for this wonderful holiday
Stay safe and enjoy tomorrows festivities!

Summer has officially arrived in NYC and boy is it caliente! I know that it’s hot in FL too but I don’t know there’s something about the summer months in the concrete jungle that can make anyone go stir crazy! It’s probably all of the sweaty people rubbing up on you while riding the subway yuck! Anyways (sorry got a bit carried away) what I really want to talk about is summer style. This post was actually inspired by my boss who said I’ve inspired her to become a bit more daring when shopping for clothes. She normally wears your basic neutral colors ie; black, white and beige which are all great colors but summer is upon us and adding some color to your wardrobe does not only make you appear cheery and bright it has the same affect on your personality as well!
I love color all year long but when summer rolls around the clothing is so much more appealing to the eye, bright colors, bold patterns and statement accessories are a part of creating a new fresh look. I may not be as daring as my sister but I definitely do not shy away from color.
So if you’re like my boss and would like to maybe only change one or two pieces at a time I would say the easiest route to adding a pop of color is to accessorize! Whether it be with a purse, clutch, statement necklace or earrings. Most of these pieces range in affordability, giving everyone the chance to create a new look without breaking the bank!
Next if you’re a bit more daring and would like to try an actual piece of clothing I would suggest choosing one bold color or pattern (either a top or bottom) while keeping everything else neutral. This helps ease in color without an overwhelming feeling of “omg does this match with that” kind of feeling.
And lastly if you are the ultimate fearless “I don’t care what people think” kind of a girl you can go for the mixed pattern look. Florals and stripes, Animal on Animal, Polka dots and Chevron the sky’s the limit!
Most important part is to have fun! Remember “the sun don’t shine forever” make the most of the summer!

I was in major need of a “pick me up” and strolled into my local Sephora to see what was in. I came across this trio of cheek/lip tints that were to die for! I’ve always loved Benefits products (die-hard … Continue reading
You’re like Jordans on a saturday, I gotta have you and I cannot wait now….
Or in my case I waited four hours!
So I may be late to jump on the bandwagon but I recently had the joy of waiting to buy Rihanna’s debut lipstick through MAC Cosmetics. I logged in faithfully at noon EST (when the launch started) and patiently watched as it took forever to load. I was at work and left the browser open as I continued on with my day. I left for lunch one hour later and almost gave up the cause but thought to myself “maybe I should stick this thing out” and if it was meant to be it would still be up when I came back. Here comes 3:50 and it’s almost time for me to clock out for the day and finally my order went through! Four hours waiting for a lipstick! Us females are seriously deranged and makeup crazed! I received it about a week later and I must say it was worth the wait and every penny! I’m actually upset I didn’t buy two! For starters I don’t own “ruby woo” which is the hue this one is based on but I love the fact that it looks so amazing on basically every skin tone. One of the major down sides to the original ruby woo is the “drying” or tight feeling it gives your lips (so I’ve heard). In swoops Riri-Woo! It’s such a similar color, with a slight hint of more moisture (in my opinion). It still doesn’t glide on as a normal lipstick would but its to be expected with such a matte color. This retro tint somehow looks perfect on so many skin tones and I love it as a new addition to my collection!
Besitos!
If you didn’t jump on it, she is going to launch other items through MAC all throughout this summer. Im sure someone must be selling them on sites like eBay & amazon as well.
Love love this red!
