Fanny Packin’

Unlike me and my horrible gift giving decisions, my sister Gwen is awesome at picking out items she knows I would love. Yes I may have hinted at this all christmas season but she knew that not just any old fanny pack would do for this girl! She bought this awesome faux leather rhinestone encrusted Kimchi Blue one from Urban Outfitters. It also features matte muted sequins as the backdrop for the jewels. I love love love this bag! I can throw it on with anything and it instantly adds texture, interest and a focal point to any look. Fanny packs are also awesome for keeping your hands free and enabling those who have issues with carrying everything (like myself when I have a huge purse) to downsize and only bring the essentials. I paired it with some H&M high waist blush shorts, forever 21 linen blazer, lace detailed camisole and gold capped black basic heels (all old season items). Links below to get a similar look!

Denim on Denim

Hey everyone, I have another outfit of the day! I am so glad my sister was able to snap a few shots of yet another one of my favorite looks. While in Florida I was able to wear shorts and leave the house without a million layers on, how exciting right?  So lets jump right in! My previous look (Green with envy) was a more of a going out kind of outfit as oppose to this one which is super casual and trendy. I paired some older pieces with newer ones creating a laid back feel.

Top: Old Navy Button down light denim
Bottoms: Forever 21 Front camo spiked denim shorts (last summer)
Shoes: Forever 21 booties (again)
accessories: Bag Phillip Lim for Target, (borrowed from Ari) Watch Marc Jacobs, Bracelet Forever 21 and lion head necklace from street vendor.

Green with Envy

Hey Everyone! So, I was visiting my sister in Florida a few weeks ago (oh how I miss the sun, and my sister of course) we were able to sneak in some photo shoot time, which is great for me since I hardly ever post outfit of the day entries. I never bring much clothing with me when I travel to Florida because I know I am going to shop while I am there, and boy did I shop! While everyone was off at work I drove myself to The Florida Mall and had a grand ole’ time. Forever 21 was of course my first stop and I managed to score some great pieces that were on clearance. I put together an outfit that I absolutely love (under $100 might I add).

-The Black peep mesh peplum top is perfect for adding curves to a not so curvy figure (such as mine) and the mesh adds a little sex appeal to a classic top.
-The Green pencil skirt gives this outfit the pop of color it needs.
-The black and gold studded boots are a favorite of mine (from my look for less post) and they give the outfit a nice edge to it.

Black and gold clutch is from H&M
Gold and black earrings are also from Forever 21

Dont miss out on these amazing Forever 21 cut out booties! Perfect dressed up or down these babies are super comfortable and can be paired with so many different looks. They are now on sale for 50% on forever 21’s website and originally priced at $39.80. Check out how I styled mine below. Target denim button up, Forever 21 mustard pencil skirt and loose waved curls for a simple casual day. At the advice of online reviews I sized down and got a 5.5 and they fit perfect! Oxfords & Blazers -Fall OTTD

So we were finally together again for the holidays! Gwen & I had so much fun eating and enjoying each others company. Stay tuned for some more fabulous photos and hauls of our lovely gifts! With that being said the weather in Florida was bi-polar the entire time. On this particular day it was very nice and sunny outside in the high 60’s. I got to play around with some layering and neutrals and came up with this casual fall look. I paired my classic crew neck Ralph Lauren polo with my thrifted grey blazer and Zara dark wash jeans. For the shoes I chose my favorite beat up forever 21 (old season) Oxford’s as well as my mustard Phillip lim for target bag. Links below!

Real Techniques “Sam’s Picks” Review

Real Technique brushes are designed by youtube sensation and makeup artist Samantha Chapman. These affordable brushes are top of the line! The quality is impeccable and you get so much bang for your buck. I was introduced to them by my sister (and co blogger) and I am in love. I chose to go with “Sam’s Picks” because the brushes suited my needs and also served as a basic starting point (although they do have other “starter kits”. For me personally this one was the best.

Priced at $30.00 these are essential to any makeup lovers collection. The bristles are super soft but don’t shed and the aluminum self standing handle make it easier to grip and hold. I have no cons for these thus far! Links Below.

The Perfect “Holiday Heel” +OOTD

While gift shopping at my local mall I came across these bad boys and knew they had to be mine immediately! Not only are they incredibly sexy but they are functional and within a limited budget! Forget everyone’s gifts, I was in heaven prancing around Forever 21 deciding which size suited me best. I opted for my standard size 6, although the 5.5 did fit me I felt slightly less tension on the back with my normal size. The “Modernist Buckled Heel” offers a cool funky geometric cut with two buckled ankle straps. They are as stylish and classic as heels but are comfortable enough to be compared to wedges as well. They are faux suede and come in at a cool $32.80, whats not to love? I styled them with old season zebra harem pants (also from forever 21) and a crisp white button up suitable for work attire or a casual day out. Simple minimalist jewelry and my hair up in braids. I love how they can transition easily from day to-night and I will be making use of these babies for some time to come. Links Below!

Hats and scarves are always staples to keep warm during these fall months and what better way to spice them up then with fun shapes and styles like animal ears! Youve seen it everywhere from instagram to every fashion and beauty bloggers post as of lately and it doesnt look like the trend is going anywhere for now. Paired with any fall attire this look is slowly creeping up and kicking the “beanie” craze to the curb with its more feminine and “cutesy” touch. Flower Headband a la’ Lana Del Rey

Fall has only now begun to rear its ugly head here in Sunny Fl but not even a week ago I was still able to enjoy a warm look for my new favorite item ie. this red rose head band. I purchased this on ASOS (still available on the site) and I thought it could go well with my year round summer attire and also be tweaked to go with fall looks since the red would also look great with jewel tones and fun stockings or tights. This rose garland has XL flowers attached to a woven wire band and sits perfectly (even tried it with my curly hair). The only con I could think is that it eventually became a little uncomfortable with long day wear (such as any other headband I suppose) as the woven wire puts slight pressure after a while. This could have been due to my clip in extensions as well (stay tuned for a post on those babies). Overall I received so many compliments/comments and concerns over this look. I felt very Lana Del Rey and effervescent. If I had the funds I would have definitely made my way over to Orlando’s Electric Daisy Carnival (hosted last week) and fit right in with the throngs of hipster chicks in cutoffs and fringe and been a happy unicorn. This maxi skirt and tank top look is great for an event like EDC (or any other musical festival of any kind), causal day outing, or even paired with warmer attire for a completely different take on the roses. Links below. Enjoy!
