As many of you may have caught on already the hype about Sunglassspot.com is too real! This awesome website features designer inspired sunglasses as well as fun decorative sunnies for the climbing temps! At only $5.00 a pair you cannot beat the quality or design. You can change up your look every day and protect your eyes from the harmful rays of the sun while always staying on trend! The following picks were a combination of mine and my sisters. Everyday Casual Look

Sometimes low key basics can translate better than any other cool and curated outfit. On this regular day I didn’t really feel like fussing with coordinating a stylish over the top look, I just wanted to be comfortable, cute and most of all weather appropriate. My H&M boyfriend jeans are always my favorite go to for anytime I want to be comfortable yet still on trend. I paired them with an old blue and white pin stripe cotton button up that was light and breezy enough for the hot weather. These everyday low Target sandals completed the look. This casual ootd could also be replicated for the Fourth of July (considering the color scheme) or any other event not requiring so much effort. Accessories include my trustee Kate Spade purse (which I should have opted for my nude version instead but was in a rush) and my hair which was reaching for the heavens on this sticky humid day. Last call before “Fall”

The weather in NYC is all over the place, one day its warm next day you have to bring out your turtlenecks, but I have a feeling that this past Saturday was one of the last “warm” days we will be having. Taking that into consideration I brought out my faux leather shorts. When the temperature drops these would look great with a pair of tights underneath, but showing off a little leg one last time won’t hurt anyone right? The lion print top is such an eye catcher! Being a Leo and all I had to get it! The sweatshirt like material gives this outfit nice texture variation. I also threw on my beloved Zara studded booties, a chunky necklace and my panama hat. Labor Day Stripes & Neon

This casual summer day calls for a simple outfit that keeps you cool, yet is stylish all the same. I recently bought this top from Marshalls from the French Connection brand and although it is a simple cotton t-shirt I love the fact that the stripes go in different directions on the sleeves and back. It is the small details that make for an interesting aesthetic. I paired this blue striped top with my neon green JLO brand high waist shorts, leopard print Sam & Libby loafers and vintage Ferragamo cross body bag. One may think all of these patterns and colors wouldn’t look good together, but mixing prints is all the rage! Pick one solid (neon shorts), choose your focal point (top) and my last rule of thumb is leopard is always a neutral (yes always in my book). Links to similar items below.

Go-To Curly Hair Products-Shea Moisture Line

So as mentioned in one of my previous hair post, I have taken on the task to try and nurture my hair back to health after a long time of chemically damaging it with relaxers and heat. I still from time to time use rollers, or straighten it but for the most part wear it in its natural curly state. Its been quite a journey figuring out what works best for my hair type and I am still learning as I go along. My main concerns were affordability and using natural products (to bring my hair back to life). In comes Shea Moisture products! This nutrient rich line is certified organic, cruelty free, dosent incoporate parabens or sulfates and the list goes on and on! With ingredients like coconut oil, silk protein and even yucca its hard to believe that both of these products are under $15.00 each. The curl enhancing smoothie was my first purchase followed by the thickening growth milk that I use in conjunction together. This combination works wonders for me and depending on how much hair you have and how much you use, these products go a long way. They are available at drug stores and also linked below!

Pros- Conditions Hair, Restores Moisture & Shine, Minimizes Frizz & provides control. Be sure to “rake” this thoroughly through your hair as to not have any clumping in any one specific area. It wont flake but it will be a bit greasy if not spread evenly or if too much is used. It does not leave my hair hard at all! Super soft with control, whats not to love?

I added this thickening growth milk to the mix after realizing the smoothie was for thick hair. I personally have very thin hair and this adds volume and also helps soften it. I mix this and a the smoothie in my palm and apply it generously in a “raking” motion. This can be used on damp on dry hair as a styling cream.

Sparkle & Nude

Feeling sexy is subjective and it cannot be made more clear by the plethora of different looks and styles that are “trending”. Both me and my sister have very different views on what looks or makes us feel sexy and I have to say a good nude shoe has got to be top five for me. This outfit is based off this old season pair of sandals/heels from forever 21. I love the way they elongate my leg (as a proper tone nude shoe is supposed to) and the sparkle detail gives it a pop that I love! This is such a special shoe in that it can be paired so many different ways and everytime I wear them I feel chic and pretty while at the same time being a little enticing. This time I played off the neutrals vibe and wore a sheer creme top with rolled up sleeves, for a nice element of surprise I chose neon yellow/green shorts from the Jennifer Lopez collection at Kohls. The body chain added another sexy touch as it defined my waist a little bit from the oversized shirt.

Oxfords & Blazers -Fall OTTD

So we were finally together again for the holidays! Gwen & I had so much fun eating and enjoying each others company. Stay tuned for some more fabulous photos and hauls of our lovely gifts! With that being said the weather in Florida was bi-polar the entire time. On this particular day it was very nice and sunny outside in the high 60’s. I got to play around with some layering and neutrals and came up with this casual fall look. I paired my classic crew neck Ralph Lauren polo with my thrifted grey blazer and Zara dark wash jeans. For the shoes I chose my favorite beat up forever 21 (old season) Oxford’s as well as my mustard Phillip lim for target bag. Links below!

Nume Magic Wand

Hey Everyone! It’s been way too long! The end of summer has approached NYC and I am so sad about it. I always think summer will be a relaxing time, but it never really is with all the traveling, parties, BBQ’s, picnics (I am not complaining) but being busy with life kept me away from blogging as often as I should, I know, I know my sister already lectured me on this, So sorry guys!

In other news I racked up some pretty awesome stuff over the last few weeks and I am super excited to share them with you! I will first start off with the very popular Nume magic curling wand. I ordered the 25mm barrel which I would describe as the “medium” sized one. I was looking to create “beachy waves” which is why I chose that size (The 32mm wouldn’t have much of an effect on my thin hair where as the 19mm would have given me tighter curls). Beachy waves are an awesome summer look which can also transition to any other time of the year. Check out how I created the wavy look down below.
